Mine Police dream big

Share

Konkola Mine Police chairman Gideon Mwenya has declared that the club will this year compete for the top position in the 2014 FAZ Super League season.

Mine Police spent the 2013 season flirting with relegation and only survived on the final day of the season.

Mwenya said the Chililabombwe side has now settled after spending the last two seasons in the elite league.

He said Mine Police are preparing well for the Super League campaign.

“As a club we are set and everything is going as per plan. This is our third year in Premier Division and we have now settled,” Mwenya said.

“For 2014 season, we have planned for a top position. We are playing Premier League football so there is no way we can plan to fail,” he added.

Meanwhile, Mine Police will this season begin life minus key defender Kabaso Chongo who joined TP Mazembe late last year.
