Green Buffaloes coach Patrik Phiri has saluted his side for beating Roan United 4-3 in Saturday’s FAZ Super League match in Luanshya.
The hard-fought win ended Buffaloes’ two-game losing streak in the new campaign.
Phiri recounted that beating Roan at Kafubu Stadium was not an easy feat.
“We would like to congratulate the boys for putting up a good effort considering that Roan played well,” he said.
Buffaloes lost 2-1 to Konkola Mine Police in their opener last month before succumbing to an identical loss at Nchanga Rangers on March 23.
“We hope that this is a sign of good things to come,” Phiri said.
Buffaloes are now 9th on the table with three points from three matches.
