Veteran trainer John “Butcher” Mwanza has been appointed head coach of FAZ Division Two North side Chifubu Bullets of Ndola.
The ex-Kabwe Warriors, Ndola United and Lime Hotspurs coach will be assisted by Robby Mwase.
Chifubu chairman Andrew Banda confirmed Mwanza’s appointment on Tuesday.
The ex-Zambia defender begun his reign as Chifubu coach on Sunday with a 2-0 away win over Zanama Rovers in Kitwe.
“We have appointed John “Butcher” Mwanza as our club head coach and he will be assisted by Robby Mwase. He started working last week,” Banda said.
Chifubu are tenth on the table with 12 points from nine games.
“Butcher is a good coach so we expect him to help the team challenge for promotion to Division One,” Banda added.
Butcher’s last high profile coaching stint was at Lime between 2011 and 2012.
