Rioting Roan banned from Luanshya

Share

FAZ has slapped 15th placed Roan United with a five-match home ban for crowd trouble and ordered them to play their home games outside Luanshya.

The ruling means the second from bottom sides’ next home game at Kafubu Stadium in Luanshya will be in October.

Roan were slapped with the home ban by the FAZ Disciplinary Committee after their fans rioted on May 17 forcing the home-sides’ Week 9 game against Red Arrows to be abandoned.

Arrows were leading that match 1-0 at kafubu before it was halted five minutes deep into injury time.

The FAZ DC has awarded Arrows a 2-0 and three points and fined Roan K5000.

The ruling sees Arrows swim away from the edge of the choppy waters of the relegation zone up from 12th to 10th on 17 points after 15 games played.

Roan meanwhile, remain deep inside inside the bottom four relegation zone with 12 points from 15 matches played.
