The head of state who arrived on Thursday last week has been to Sanya where he addressed the Boao Forum for Asia annual conference and met with some investors.

In Beijing, the president will be officially hosted by his Chinese counterpart Xi Jin Ping.

And on Tuesday, the president and his entourage will attend the Zambia-China economic trade, tourism forum hosted by the China non-ferrous mining cooperation.

The president is accompanied by First Lady Esther, Finance minister Alexander Chikwanda, Mines and Energy minister Christopher Yaluma and Given Lubinda of Agriculture.

Meanwhile, the opposition Green Party has written to President Edgar Lungu, requesting for a meeting with the Head of state on how best to revive the Zambian economy.

Green party leader Peter Sinkamba says there is urgent need for government to put in place strategies and policies on how best to revive the country’s economy.

Mr Sinkamba has told ZNBC in Ndola that the party is still waiting for a response from president Lungu on the request by his party to meet the Head of state.

Mr Sinkamba has explained that the only solution to reviving Zambia’s economy lies in expanding the export base and reducing the over dependence on copper.

The Green Party leader said the Zambian economy is not growing and the trend is posing huge challenges on the economy.

The green party is urging government to diversify and grow the agriculture sector further.

Mr Sinkamba said the current economic trends are not inspiring.

The Green party leader says the Central bank should also work out modalities of enhancing foreign direct inflows into Zambia.

  1. The ZWD already saw this charade and alerted it’s readers as to what will actually happen in China. This is a medical evacuation masquerading as official visit. They said the president and his attendants will go through motions of greetings, wining and dining with their supposed hosts before the ailing president will be ushered into some operating theater.

    • I thought he was done yesterday and should have rushed to attend funeral of Nsanda, a man who single hand dragged him to go and collect “instruments of power” from Guy Scott.
Anyway, Edgar wants to enrich himself, life is short.

    • Your bitterness, hate and jealousy will just consume you. Tell us which hospital he attended yesterday. If you have no proof take your allegations together with your ZWD and shove them up your behinds! Useless wastes of space!

  2. EL means well for Zambia in his fact-finding mission in China. On a genuine note, why do you always blame him and the way he appears innocent from a distance even to harm a fly or is it false-face humility?

  3. President Lungu has taken the cartel by surprise by a very sophisticated manner in which he is dismantling them.
Their stronghold is crambling brick by brick and will pay dearly for underating EL and all the evil they purpertured.

  4. If Upnd have to go a long way they need to support el and Pf in various developmental steps it’s taking. If you align yourselves with the cartel you will disappear with ???? party by the end of this year.
Secondly Upnd sympathizers don’t bring zwd HH stories on this site.

    • @ Spong Bob. Thank you! Just because people have seen ZWD for what it is and stopped visiting their site these loofs want to shove their stories down our throats. Very annoying

  5. ???? Is rainbow party.

Upnd try to campaign in U.K. maybe you can win. Looks like tongas are many that side to give you a vote.
