PRESIDENT LUNGU WORKING HARD AND WILL DELIVER ON PEOPLE’S EXPECTATIONS – SUNDAY CHANDA, VICE CHAIRPERSON, PF MEDIA AND PUBLICITY COMMITTEE

Lusaka, Zambia, 5th September 2015 – Patriotic Front (PF) in Government, under the leadership of His Excellency President Edgar Chagwa Lungu is working hard to translate its election manifesto promises into tangible results. Even in the midst of these challenges, President Lungu has shown strong resolve to find long-term solutions to any challenges. The nation will recall USA President Barak Obama’s first term of Office and the global melt-down and the rate at which the US was losing jobs. The decisions President Obama made during the first term may not have yielded desired results in the intermediate but today it appears as though those challenges never existed on his watch as Head of State. President Obama passed the test of his Presidency.

As the country is fully aware, President Lungu is providing leadership towards diversification of the economy and taking measures to reduce Zambia’s dependency on copper. His administration is making investments for purposes of diversifying Zambia’s energy sources from sole dependence on hydro power to solar, coal, thermal and wind energy. President Lungu’s administration also has ensured timely delivery of farming inputs, sustainable solution to mealie meal prices through the procurement of solar-powered milling plants to be located in all ten (10) Provinces of Zambia, increased Maize-floor price and working towards the improvement in post-harvest management and the establishment of strategic fuel depots. It is these decisions that define a leader and Zambia can be assured that President Lungu remains committed to a better Zambia.

Lastly, during this season, the country needs to pull together and exhibit patriotism as the Government takes measures to strengthen the economy and respond to global warming induced massive load shedding which has adversely affected households, small businesses like barbershops, hair salons, poultry, welding dependent on electricity, big industries and other essential services are presently having a bearing on both households, the industry and essential services.

There is so much President Lungu has done within the eight (8) and more remains to be done before the next elections. It is these works and his leadership style that shall speak for him in the 2016 elections to secure him another term of office. We are therefore calling on Zambians to rally behind the leadership of President Lungu and his Government as he makes decisions to reposition Zambia for the good of her citizens.

    • To PF Government and party communication machines like all patriotic and mature Zambians, keep supporting selfless ECL’s Presidency and the country. President Lungu is methodically realigning Zambia for the better. He is correcting the mess of many years some of which were reckless stop gap measures without basis of delivering national developmental results or policy sustainability. Today ECL is steadfastly leading Zambia towards a big take off to be anchored on national unity while pushing for internal capacity management for self sufficiency.
Suffice to say, we are a nascent democracy and PF should keep enjoying the ramblings from every corner including straight jackets of deviants in town. Just keep using PR tactics to neutralize the noise. National development is a spasmodic process…

  1. ED and Obama as a comparative distraction from truth. Easiest to go back to the beginning and know one got in with pangas raised in the air and the other was democratically elected to serve. In that vein, one called on all the skills and talent at his disposal to weather the storm while the other is creating a stormy environment to politick at the expense of the people…

This won’t end well. Focus. Swallow pride and seek help.

  2. So this very dull self-appraised spokesperson is saying incompetence is brought about by Global Warming??? I cannot even begin to imagine where we are heading…

  3. Sunday, please give us a break. Keep your spin to the internal annuls of your party. We really do not need you to tell us of ECLs performance. We live his performance every day. Just wait for 2016 when an assessment is done by the electorate on this performance.

And please do not compare ECL to Barack (get the spelling right), it’s unfair to the legacy of the U.S. President.

  4. On a more serious note, I am very concerned about the very low bar that we demand of ourselves and our leaders as a Nation. No constitution so far, no major goals set. It like our way is to just survive instead of innovating.

If we can applaud mediocre performance as great, we shall never make our contribution to mankind as a Nation. Are we ever going to invent anything as this pace?

  5. ECL maybe trying but it is whole package , PF, that is the problem. Full of hopeless ministers. Take the fact that Zambia imports 45 k tons of fish, or that we imported cut chips from SA, did it have to take lungu to notice that please ???.

  6. Sunday Chanda is a dreamer. Praising President Lungu for the sake of keeping his job. Sunday is not sincere to the Zambian people and to the president. He is just a full liar. He is like those people who praised RB. In the end RB lost.

  7. The President’s teeth are not good and the other guy standing by has also got bad teeth, why? They have purejoy drink and wine on the table. Are they by any chance drunkards?

  8. Leadership is given by God, in the bible it says no rich person will inherit the kingdom of God. we have jelos people at our working places, they are owez struggling. Stay away from kaduka. Busy saying bad things ur friends are being lifted everyday.
