   • I have never watched Cathy fight until now … thanks to LT. But having watched her, I can see why she is the most dangerous fight on the planet today. I don’t know if she even knows how talented she is.

     Only one fighter in the history ever used the same talent skill … Ken Newton. Catherine Phiri is what Ken Newton was to the Men’s World Boxing fraternity. She is a South Pole fighter. Her most powerful hand is the left one.

     Most boxers are North Pole fighters … thus the famous “Left Hook”. In Cathy’s case it is not the “left hook” that kills you it is the “Right Hook”. While most boxers are trained to cover for the Left Hook, very few understand the devastating ability of the “Right Hook”!

2. ..I cant see any round which was at per…all the bouts went to Catherine….the judge who gave a draw is just as bad as Rivas…..if they had to go to eighth round..Rivas would have run out of steam and surrender…her corner would have thrown in a towel….Catherine coaches must have done a good job as far as psychological preparation is concerned….unlike the Gunduzani episode….atleast I have something to whistle about as I take a walk in town waving at anyone who looks at me with a grinning smile….
