Minister of Local Government Stephen Kampyongo has called for patience among political parties ahead of elections on Thursday.

Mr. Kampyongo has called on opposition youths to refrain from activities that might disturb the smooth running of Thursday’s election.

He said leaders of the opposition should manage their supporters who are stopping ECZ trucks randomly on suspicion of carrying pre-marked ballots.

Mr Kampyongo said police should enforce President Edgar Lungu’s instruction to deal with those causing confusion regardless of political affiliation.

And PF Lusaka province chairperson Kennedy Kamba has called on its members to remain calm and peaceful as they prepare to turn up in numbers during voting day.

Mr. Kamba said the PF should wake up early and guard the vote for the party.

He has since called on the PF youth to remain calm and not respond to any kind of provocation from the opposition.

    • Upnd are busy chasing trucks while Pf is serious ly campaigning door to door. Intead of mobilising cadres to vote in numbers they are sendi@g them to break the law with impunity. These cadres will be put in cells a day before voting and Upnd will lose votes.

  1. You idiiot must be the last one to say anything. Your recordings with Malupenga already gave as a glimpse on what you & ECZ are up to
This goes out to all PF cadres, UPND HAS a right to protect its vote.

    • TRUE ALL ZAMBIANS HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAFEGUARD THEIR VOTES JUST LIKE YOU KAMPYONGO ARE SAFEGUARDING YOUR JOB. BOLA YALULA KAMPYONGO YOU STAND TO LOSE PLENTY. YOU TOO SHUD TAME YOUR CADRES THAT ARE KILLING AND MAIMING INNOCENT PEOPLE.

  2. If they can’t get any pre- marked ballot papers they will start looking for green regalia among themselves in case some watermelones have turned inside out. What a comedy.

  3. This is the precedent which PF set in 2011. It is a good formula to guard the vote against rigging- Aruta continua, be vigilant for the sake of democracy. Wina azalila

  4. UPND will soon start stopping Green House flies . What a drama? Are they the only Opposition They have over rated themselves. No wonder why are loosing.

  5. Kapyongo, should be the last person to comment on rigging, not longer , you with Malupenga, were planning some evil motives of rigging the votes, just shut up you idiot.

    • Ebwafya ba Upnd umuntu as long as he’s not Upnd Nangu alande ifyamano you resort to insults. Shame on you if you think that you’ll be spared if you spark a civil war
