Patriotic Front (PF) Member of Parliament (MP) for Mpulungu, Freedom Sikazwe, has urged opposition political parties not to shun tomorrow’s Independence Day cerebrations.

Mr Sikazwe said tomorrow’s celebrations should not be politicised as it is the national birthday and not one political party’s birthday.

He said there is need for every patriotic Zambian to come together and cerebrate the peace that the forefathers fought.

He added that Zambia is a Christian Nation with people that fear and honour God as their creator and personal saviour that want peace to be their daily meal.

Mr Sikazwe added that it will not benefit those that will choose to shun away from the Independence Day as it will reflect that they do not appreciate what the forefathers struggled for when Zambia was colonised.

He appealed to members of the public not to listen to political leaders that may insight them not to take part in the independence cerebrations.

    • We will celebrate independence in our homes. There’s no need to join the Pathetic Fascists as they wave their Punching Fists in front of our Punished Faces under the harsh gaze of the Police Force. Zambia now has new black colonialists who insist that you should speak their Bemba language in govt offices.

    • This nigger From KMB should tell us the meaning of independence in a country you detain pipo for belonging to a different party.Even the name Freedom has no impact on him,you are only fit for kitwe main bus station by the way where is your friend goliati.

  1. Celebrate what? Stolen election, drunkard president, real president Banda and his cronies, political prostitutes judges, ugly Priscilla, load shedding, food being shipped to the bastard father Mugabe, Zambia as the laughing stock of Southern Africa, no petrol, what exactly are we celebrating?

  2. INDEPENDENCE HAS LOST ITS VALUE. WHY CELEBRATE WHEN YOUR BROTHER IS ARRESTED OVER EXPRESSING HIS/HER OPINION, WHEN YOU GO WITH NO FOOD, WHEN MEDICINE IS NOT IN THE HOSPITAL, CELEBRATE WHEN PRICE OF UBUNGA IS NOW K114, 10KG SEED IS K400, FERTILIZER IS K450, FUEL PRICE IS COSTING K14/L, TEACHERS DO NOT KNOW AS TO WHEN THEY WILL GET THEIR SALARIES.

  3. UNZA Radio management on Wednesday surrendered recordings of a live political programme to the government controlled Independent Broadcasting Authority.

Sources interviewed said the ‘Lusaka Star’ programme which discussed increased fuel prices aired on October 17, attracted a lot of comments from callers, the majority of whom expressed unhappiness with the government’s decision.

“We were shocked to receive a call from IBA minutes after the programme ended informing us that they were coming to collect recordings of the programme, which was not even being analysed by a politician but just a radio presenter, Golden Lungu. They told us to prepare the recording, which they were going to pick on Tuesday but they did not show up because Tuesday was a public holiday,” the sources said…

  4. Once PF in opposition also shunned this celebration on the grounds of nothing to celebrate. Now the hypocrites line up to condemn opposition. Will you also condemn Sata for shunning the celebrations when MMD was in power?

  5. Never shun independence day celebrations. Our forefathers got it for us, and not these modern political morons in the PF and the UPND.
