‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba hails new Nkana signings

Nkana striker Ronald Kampamba has hailed the calibre of players his ambitious FAZ Super Division side has signed ahead of the 2017 campaign.

Nkana have acquired reliable defender Aaron Katebe from Zanaco, goalkeeper Moses Mapulanga of Nakambala Leopards, forward Innocent Mwaba from Forest Rangers and midfielder Samson Chilupe from Nakambala Leopards.

Sate Sate believes the new players will bring more competition to Nkana.

“The signings are very good. It is good to have more good players. Football is about team work and competition,” Kampamba said.

“Look at Aaron, he is a good player. He will bring competition in the team especially in defence,” he said.

Kampamba is also elated that Nkana managed to retain striker Walter Bwalya.

Bwalya was the 2016 league top scorer with 24 goals.

“It is nice Walter Bwalya is staying at Nkana,” he said.

Kampamba is confident Nkana will challenge for the league title.

“This season we can win the league. We are looking forward to working hard. We are also asking our supporters to support us,” he said.

  2. Do not buy players that you will not use like Nkana did to Aubrey Chamulwanda. Nkana be realistic and objective in buying players. Goalkeeper Moses Mapulanga is the value adding acquisition. Hope we will not experience failure to follow procedures in acquisition of the players such that we end up paying unnecessary penalties to FAZ like it happened last year.
