The ruling party’s secretary-general, Davies Mwila, said in an interview that the gross misconduct matter which was heard last month by a disciplinary committee will now be presented before the central committee.
Mr Mwila said other cases will also be heard by the central committee, which will decide Dr Kambwili’s fate and those of other members facing disciplinary action.
“After the central committee meeting decides tomorrow [today], members and the general public will then be informed of the outcome through responsible party structures,” Mr Mwila said.
He said Dr Kambwili, is charged with gross misconduct.
In a separate interview, Dr Kambwili said he has received a notice of the central committee meeting to be held today.
Dr Kambwili, who is a member of the committee, said he will be attending today’s meeting.
Dr Kambwili who is former Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services, appeared before the disciplinary committee chaired by Dr Ngosa Simbyakula to explain why the ruling party should not take action against him.
The PF gave him seven days in which to explain why he should not be disciplined for allegedly accusing Luanshya Mayor Nathan Chanda of being a wizard among other charges.
Comment: This case has been commented on by a lot of people who needs Kambwili out of the party. If the case was in court a lot of people would have been charged with contempt of court. People like the complainant himself the Deputy SG, C/B minister and other pf members have been negatively commenting about Kambwili with a view of influencing the outcome of the case. Well informed people have already concluded that the outcome is already determined against the Roan MP.
The case that he called the other a witch. Yaba, like kids. People are still waiting for fertiliser in some areas imwe.
Calling someone a wizard warrants charging someone with gross misconduct? How about inciting cadres to start running bus stations and markets? Which is more serious between the two? The later borders on criminality and would in my view be a probable case for gross misconduct and not this witch hunt. Kambwili had it coming, now is the time for them to chuck him out as he is the only threat to Lungu’s third term ambitions as the rest are a bunch of bootlickers who can not stand against the vision-less one. When is his case going to be tabled for saying what he said in Kabwe when he addressed the carders over the running of bus stations and markets?He was in-sighting lawlessness. Why has it taken so long? Cage this buff-oon. This man deserves his face in the dictionary next to the word “thief.” He can’t even feel ashamed stealing from his own people in Luanshya especially Roan. Did he ever build schools, fix roofs of schools, get desks and chairs for children. Did he ever help with school fees of children or help pay tuition fees for struggling students entering certain grades or help them with university school fees? Once President Lungu shows he’s got balls by convicting this goon is when we will believe otherwise it is a waste of time.
