  1. I agree with him on Tourism, Trade, and Gas and Oil exploration, but in Agriculture? Not sure about that. Dora Siliya is burying Agriculture.

    • What a marketer, do you expect mining investors to put money in the mining sector , when a government official has just told that Zambia’s economy will be driven by tourism, agriculture etc.

  2. Hey, we are at a mining indaba so our mining minister is discussing agriculture, tourism, rule of law. Good governance. Its a MINING indaba. We dont have to continually stress how law and order is good on Zambia. Keep doing that then pipo will be asking why keep justifying law and order. Mining Indaba!!!!!!

  3. @Masalamuso…you are stupid. When you sell a country you use everything at your disposal. Mining investors also need to know that a country is stable and the rule of law applies.

  4. Am sure i am not stupid so as an intelligent country we sell our agricluture, tourism etc at the mining indaba. Its like going to play football wearing tennis attire… business people are interested in the topic at hand

Can assure you investors would already have looked at the political and economic status of a country that they could be interested in.
Before you take a wife you already know her background.
So at the next agricultural indaba we address the audience about our mining strategy…. Relevance is important.
Doing a maths exam you go one about english…..am sure you will be impressive

  5. @control obviously I am stupid so please explain why the chairs are empty when a key note speech is being given….

  6. The audience is facing the speaker. You want the audience to sit behind the speaker. As an ambassodor you sell whatever is good in the country but focus on the issue at hand. ..this is what happened. You assure the investors that their money is safe in the country, that the political environment is stableand that the rule of law applies. You dont assume that they know but you keep on marketing the country.

  7. @Masalamuso….that was not a panel discussion my friend but the minister was addressing an audience hence the chairs are empty behind him. I hope you have noted the difference honourable Masalamuso

  8. My dear, thank you but it is also normal to have a panel of dignitaries seatec on the podium. I read the programme for all the addresses on that day and all the speakers were addressing, believe it or not, MINING.
Lets us agree to disagree because we both want Zambia to progress, I just wanted us to be totally professional at this level of presentation.

  9. Law and order can live with but not agriculture tourism, at mining indaba. Let’s not make us look as though we are desparate for investment or else two things may happen, investors will take advantage of us, or will wonder why ,what js the matter that they are so desparately looking fot investment so maybe something is not quite right.
When a salesman “oversells” we naturally become cautious.
Thats all I am getting at.
We need “PROPER” investments that benefit us at least as much if not more than the investor

  10. The government need to focus on making the international mining companies ALREADY in our country give us our rights and treat the company of Zambia with the respect we deserve. We need to sort this before we get more investment.

  11. Zccm ih 4 zambia..
If we show respect for ourselves and our country then we can expect and compel the mining sector to contribute PROPERLY. Respect builds respect.
We need them but lets not appear to be begging them to be their for us. Without zambia and zambians land there would be no mining.
Try fortnightly wages, better budgeting for mines, ZRA and employees. Then make sales thst are on 30 day contracts be paid on time. Let the mining suppliers association take one mine to court for non payment, if still not paid ask for court appointed administrator. See how quickly bills will be paid then. We need a test case

  12. Just pay contractors including your relative Chishimba Chimbwili Mwamona Nomba company. He cried all over the media PF not paying contactors. By the way, you Yaluma vowed not to leave CB till all contactors are paid. So you lied as per PF legacy ‘ Donchi Kubeba’. Typical Bemba.
