Nkana eager to extend winning run

Share

Nkana on Saturday look set to continue rising up in the FAZ Super Division when they host lowly placed Kabwe Warrior at Nkana Stadium in Wusakile, Kitwe.

Fifth placed Nkana are favourites over winless Warriors who are perched second from the foot of the table.

Potential league leaders Kalampa have 15 points, one behind leaders Napsa Stars, heading into this Week 10 encounter.

“The most important thing as a team is to work hard so that we can get more points. The league is very tough this season,” Nkana coach Zeddy Saileti said.

Warriors have posted three straight draws in their latest matches.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Nkana’s Kitwe rivals Power Dynamos will be away to Nakambala Leopards at Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka.

Coach Dan Kabwe’s Power are in Mazabuka seeking to recover from last weekend’s goalless stalemate at Mufulira Wanderers.

Wanderers themselves are welcoming promoted Buildcon at Shinde Stadium.

Meanwhile, matches scheduled for Lusaka have been pushed to Sunday owing to Zanaco’s home CAF Champions League commitment on Saturday at Heroes Stadium.

In a related matter, Zesco United’s league match against Real Nakonde has been postponed as the Ndola club is on Saturday playing in the CAF Confederation Cup.
