On Friday the former Copperbelt Minister claimed that Chiefs in Southern Province had invited embattled Roan MP, Chishimba Kambwili to travel to the region to have a meeting with them.
But the chiefs refuted Mr Musenge’s claims and challenged him to name any chief from the region involved in the purported meeting. Most chiefs talked to by the Daily Nation yesterday said they did not know what Mr Musenge was talking about.
They said Mr Musenge’s statement should be ignored because it was only meant to bring the name of Tonga chiefs into ridicule. “I am not aware of that meeting or any chief from here who has invited him (Kambwili).” said Chief Chipepo.
Chief Chipepo challenged Mr Musenge to disclose the names of traditional leaders who had invited his friend and also to state the purpose of such a meeting.
“Who invited him and to discuss what if I may ask? Because I am hearing about it for the first time. It’s not true, there is no such a meeting or any plans to have one. Not to my knowledge.”
Chief Chipepo further said it was wrong for politicians to be dragging chiefs from the region into their political battles.
“Politicians should find other strategies to use. They should stop using our names. we are traditional leaders and not politicians,” warned Chief Chipepo.
And in a separate interview, Chieftainess Mwenda of Chikankata District expressed shock at Mr Musenge’s claims.
“I don’t know anything about the meeting he (Musenge) is talking about. Nobody has communicated to me about it. I don’t think there is any impending meeting between him (Kambwili) and us,” said Chieftainess Mwenda.

These chiefs only recognise hh that’s why they made patron for their ceremony. They can’t run away from the issue of being political simply because a non tonga wants to gain favour from them. Southern chiefs are the only chiefs in Zambia who are political and like chewing money from politicians. Why deny this time. The region no longer produce bumper harvest but bumper votes for their tribal party. What a shame. The entire region has thrown away the hoes and embraced the voters cards. Silly chiefs.
I just wonder why these dull local politicians like Mwenya Musenge never learn from others.before 2015 and 2016 elections,Miles Sampa,Dr.Guy Scott,Mulenga Sata,Bob Sichinga,GBM,Obvious Mwaliteta,etc tried hard to destroy PF but all in vain.
Whoever is closer to Chishimba Kambwili must tell him to stop this nonsense or else soon he will be history in Zambian politics.PF is far much bigger than anybody including ECL!!PF is not like upnd-which minus HH its a shell of itself!!

Even when he backed HH he was a disgraced person with no influence. Miles Sampa and MULENGA Data had no political base. Their qualification was the relationship with MCS. As for Mwaliteta my mother in Kaputa does not know him.The man existed only in Kafue. CK is solid on the ground. He is known in Shangombo, Kaputa, Munashikende, Chilubi, Nabwalya, Chishawasha and all over Zambia. CK can take on ECL’s PF squarely and win. Further an alliance between HH and CK can easily defeat ECL’s PF. CK holds all the aces. The SP chiefs know this. I also know.

Do you know why ck has rushed to the courts to challenge the expulsion. He simply knows that once out from the ruling party then you are doomed stop misleading him like the way hh is being misled.

His career didn’t end when he left Unip.Again MCS left MMD and formed PF.His career didn’t end and he later was to become President. Sata was a snake in the grass. He jumped on the MMD band wagon because it was obvious Unip was going to lose. He hounded everyone from MMD hoping that if the third term bid failed FTJ was going to adopt him as presidential candidate. We chased him from our FDD conference and the following day he announced the formation of PF. As for Nathan Chanda unless you’re just joking, the young man is a graduate from the University of Zambia.
