Choma District Commissioner Sheena Muleya has called on the District Education Board Secretary to ensure that all schools in the district display the Presidential Portrait.
Ms Muleya said it is a national requirement that all public institutions display the portrait of the Republican President.
She expressed disappointment that some schools have not obliged to this requirement, even after several reminders to display the Presidential portrait.
The District Commissioner has since directed the district education board secretary to ensure that all schools display the presidential portrait within 14 days.
Ms Muleya observed that schools represent government and should be exemplary in following national guidelines.
She was speaking when she visited Simwami and Namuswa Primary schools in Choma district where she found that neither the Head Teacher’s office nor the teacher’s staff room had the Presidential Portrait displayed.

Yes Jonathan might rig elections again in 2021, but he will not be in charge forever. He will fall ungracefully, and it will be the people of Zambia that will make sure of that. He will end up in court, and his assets will be seized so that the huge debts these fockers are getting can be repaid. All those houses he is building will be national assets. His foreign accounts will also be frozen, and the money returned to Zambia so that schools, hospitals, and infrastructure can be built.

The way I see it, the portrait represents national cohesion and unity. And I’m not saying Zambia is the most united country in the world at the moment, but certainly isn’t the worse.
PF has never been my thing since it’s inception, but I’m all for ensuring Zambia is stable, and that begins with the presidency being respected in every district of the country, whether we think he’s illegal or not legal, whether he’s corrupt or not corrupt, as it stands he’s in charge and for our own good we have to respect that.
