A 26 year old woman of Airport compound in Sesheke District in Western Province has stubbed her boyfriend to death after a dispute which has not yet been known.

Western Province Commissioner of Police Charles Lungu disclosed the development to ZANIS in a telephone interview today and has identified the woman as Likezo Mulyokela who stubbed Sililo Sililo of the same compound to death.

According to Mr. Lungu, the incidence happened yesterday around 13 hours when the two had a dispute which ended up in a fight.

He said this led the accused to pick a broken bottle which she used to inflict her boyfriend who sustained a deep wound on the upper left arm elbow.

The Commissioner further disclosed that due to excessive bleeding and delay to take the victim to the hospital, the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival at Yeta District Hospital.

Meanwhile, the accused is in Police custody while the body of Sililo Sililo is lying in Yeta District Hospital mortuary for postmortem and burial.

    • Almost all the time, LT displays photos that have nothing to do with the story in question. In this story one would be tempted to imagine that the police commissioner also recovered firearms from the woman suspected to have caused the death of Sililo …

    • Saddening how Police officers handle evidence. The whole lot of a senior officer handling hand guns like that?? leaving his own figure prints all over the stolen items. Disturbing!!
