Ministry of Agriculture creats 6 more Agricultural camps in Muchinga Province

The Ministry of Agriculture has created 6 more agricultural camps in Shiwang`andu district of Muchinga Province, in order to promote the delivery of agriculture services.

Shiwang`andu District Agriculture Coordinator (DACO), Moses Mulenga disclosed this development in an interview with the ZANIS in Shiwang`andu.

Mr Mulenga said that the creation of 6 more agricultural camps to the 19 existing camps, is of several benefits.

He said one of the benefits is to improve the farmer to extension officer ratio in the extension services.

Mr Mulenga further, said that with the newly created agricultural camps, farmers will be accessing extension services closer to their door steps through improved extension services.

He said that this will result in better crop production.

Mr Mulenga added that the additional agricultural camps will also help in improving farming technology adoption among farmers.

The DACO charged that farmers are expected to exercise advisable farming practices.

    One to many elation is not a function.
