A title deed application is supposed to be processed by the ministry within two weeks-Kapata

The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has disclosed that 60, 000 land title deeds were issued in the last quarter of 2018.

Minister of Lands Jean Kapata says the title deeds were issued under the National Land Titling (NLT) project.

Ms Kapata states that the project is still on course and that it will benefit more people across the country.

Ms Kapata said this in an interview in Lusaka today.

Ms Kapata, who is also Mandevu constituency Member of Parliament, revealed that her ministry has targeted to issue 75, 000 titles in the first quarter of this year.

The Minister has since called on property owners that do not have title deeds, to visit offices in their vicinity so that they start the process of documenting their properties.

Ms Kapata clarified that a title deed is supposed to be processed by the ministry within two weeks as long as the details are correct and paid for.

According to the Ministry of lands, 300, 000 land titles are set to be issued across the country Under the NLT project,.

    Mumbwa road.please notify us as you start with the said location

  2. This is not true! Check out how long it has taken some owners on copperbelt (former Zccm) to get dèeds. Personally have waited over 20years. Resubmitted appllication at Zccm-IH Kitwe, two years ago, still waiting. Those chaps at Kitwe office want to be bribed to expedite the process.
