Grade 7 pupils in Nakonde district in Muchinga Province have been encouraged to work hard and do their best in the ongoing exams which commenced on Tuesday this week.
Nakonde District Commissioner Marvelous Sikapizye says their education is crucial as they are the future leaders of the country.
Speaking in an interview with the media , Mr Sikapizye emphasised on the importance of the younger generation in the country’s development.
“I am encouraging you to work hard because I know tomorrow you will be a Minister or President. We are depending on you. Please do the right thing at the right time,” he said.
Mr Sikapizye also pointed out that so far the exams are going on as planned with no
major issues or complaints from parents and teachers.
Mr Sikapizye further expressed satisfaction with the transparency of the exams, noting that there has been no record of malpractice in the ongoing exams.
“Our children are writing exams and so far so good because we are not receiving any complaints from teachers and parents,” he said.
The Grade 7 examinations in Nakonde district are currently underway with a total of 5,390 pupils comprising 2559 boys and 2831 girls, participating across 770 exam centres.
The exams which commenced on Tuesday, October 28th, will conclude on Friday October 30th, 2025.
