Copper Queens coach Nora Häuptle has summoned 28 players for a local camp as Zambia begins the final lap of preparations for the Women Africa Cup of Nations.
FAZ said Häuptle named some foreign-based players whose leagues are on recess for the local camp, while the rest will join in the final stages.
Other foreign-based players were not summoned due to club engagements but will link up later.
Zambia will play Algeria in back-to-back friendlies next month.
Before jetting out to Morocco, the local camp will serve as a final audition for players hoping to impress the technical bench ahead of the final squad naming.
Häuptle recalled midfielder Hellen Chanda and fit-again striker Ivy Nambeye of Nchanga Queens.
Other notable call-ups include striker Penelope Mulubwa and Eneless Phiri, who missed consecutive FIFA window fixtures. Goalkeeper Winfridah Mutale, 14, is also in the squad.
Zambia are in Group C at WAFCON Morocco 2026 alongside defending champions Nigeria, Egypt and Malawi.
The top two teams will advance from the group.
The Women’s Africa Cup of Nations runs from July 25 to August 16.
The top four teams will qualify for the Brazil 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
