Sate Sate, Felix Katongo called up to face Jordan

Chipolopolo coach Patrice Beaumelle has recalled Nkana striker Reynold “Sate Sate” Kampamba for Zambia’s November 6 friendly against Jordan in Amman.

The leading scorer in the FAZ Super League on 14 goals returns to the national team since December 2012.

Kampamba was on Thursday named in the 26 member squad.

Beaumelle has further recalled Green Buffaloes winger Felix Katongo.
Katongo has never played for the national team after the 2012 Africa Cup in South Africa.

Meanwhile, the Frenchman has handed new call-ups to Nchanga keeper Toaster Nsabata and Power Dynamos midfielder Mathews Nkowane.

He has also included Chipolopolo stars Christopher Katongo, Fwayo Tembo and Noah Chivuta in the squad to face Jordan.

  1. Good job Beaumelle! Ronald deserves a call. Now you need to have him partner with Evans Kangwa to complete a lethal force. And where is Evans please?

    • I really come to be so affectionate by this Patrice and his best assistant Davies Phiri.
      – Felix Katongo is good, and need to go back to France to play for Renard or stay in Jordan.
      – Sate Sate of course, no comment we need to prove with no reasonable doubt.
      – That Ngonga is simply best mweee, unfortunately Chris Katongo has his number.
      – My worry is on Goalie, where is our Red Arrows guy? Or the Italian tall boy?
      – Festus Mbewe made it back, but no Bornwell Mwape?

      Next time:
Call those guys from Angola, and someone reported playing with Noah Chivuta somewhere there in Cambodia or Thailand…

    • @ Nostradamus, I largely agree with your comment save for your welcoming of Festus Mbewe and your missing of Bornwell Mwape. I know you claim to know football so much the same way Patrick Phiri used to claim when he was in charge of Chipolopolo. But I will tell you, even as a layman, that the duo of Festus & Bornwell are not natural strikers but incidental ones who cannot be relied upon when it matters most.

    • You skeleton with no muscles, I think you don’t even have eyes to read, who cancelled to game?

    • @nostra..
      skeleton with no muscles….
i have never seen one with muscles. kikikiki.
      good one though.

  2. Try calling Mulenga from Sundowns in order to give him some game time. You preached about regenerating the team; now walk the talk. I’m satisfied with the rest of the team, but I really doubt the efficacy of calling Chivuta, Felix, and Chintu to this team. I would you rather called that boy (defender) in Hwange, Zimbabwe, and Sakuwaha in place of any of these three. FAZ please let’s be seen to be moving forward not backwards. Moreover, is this not supposed to be an U23 team? Courage, brothers, courage!

    • Not a chance! We have forgiven them, but not not forgotten that they almost put us in limbo.

  3. When are you going to employ an experienced manager to build a new team….there is no better time to do so than now when we don’t have any major qualifiers and games.
    WAKE UP!!

  4. jayjay
experienced qualified coach depends on deliverables not just title ..experienced. Pep gurdiola had no experienced he achieved in 4yrs what alex ferguson achieved in 30yrs.

  6. We don’t want the Mailoni Brothers.Their complacent is very detrimental to the unite of the team. Let them become Congolese nationals they have already started applying cosmetics amafuta balyamba uku bukusa. If we can hold Brazil like that then we have a brighter future. My appeal to all soccer fans,Faz and government is to give the new coach time. It is easy to destroy but difficult to build.

  7. @jay jay

wani sekesa. its now changed lik man u holds stock city 1-1. not stock city holding man u. jay jay 4give our bro he meant to make as laf coz how do u hold wen u lost haha very fuuny indeed

  8. I welcome the decision to call Reynold Kampamba to the team. However, I believe we have better strikers than Festus Mbewe. I wonder why Nkana also keeps using him. The guy is bench material.
