Don’t Let Others Limit Your Dreams
Have the opinions of other people caused you to water down your dreams? There will always be critics and naysayers in life. It’s not what’s said about you that affects your life, but what you say and believe about yourself.
One of the most important things you can learn is that other people don’t have to believe in you in order for your dreams to come to pass. Other people don’t set the limits for your life — you do. In Romans 3:3, the Apostle Paul is saying, “It doesn’t matter if other people don’t believe. Their unbelief is not going to keep me from believing in my dreams.” When God puts a promise in your heart, it’s not up to other people to bring it to pass, it’s up to you! You don’t need everyone to validate you. You have to follow the voice of God for yourself and allow Him to order your steps.
Remember, God sees the hidden treasures that you’ve had buried on the inside of you. He wants to bring those treasures out and make your dreams reality! As you get rid of old, defeated thoughts and replace them with what God says about you, you will remove the limits and live the abundant life God has in store for you!
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for another day to see Your goodness in my life. Today, I take off the limits and embrace the dreams You’ve placed in my heart. Empower me by Your Spirit to fulfill Your plan for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
Political Activist Dante Saunders captured at the UPND rally in Mandevu. This was after Saunders addressed the rally
Political Analyst Dante Saunders says the PF government will reap nothing in pursuing individuals who hold different views and opinions.
And Mr. Saunders has advised government to concentrate on issues of developing the country rather than harassing artistes.
Police have summoned musician Chama Fumba alias Pilato for questioning on monday over his alleged defamation of President Lungu through his song.
But Mr. Sauders says the move is unfair to the society and the artistes citing that it is putting the artistes in a difficult situation.
He points out that the best the PF and its members were going to do if they did not like the song was to ask the members not to play or listen to the song.
Mr. Sauders says it is sad that the PF is harassing innocent artists who want to speak to the people of Zambia through songs.
He further states that the PF should live the musician alone and deal with issues affecting the people of Zambia.
President Edgar Lungu says he is confident that the House of Chiefs Committee that he appointed would address the land wrangles in Zambezi district between Senior Chiefs Ndungu and Ishindi.
President Lungu who held a meeting with the two traditional leaders at Zambezi Council Chamber today pleaded with them to dialogue while waiting for the House of Chiefs to resolve their tribal disputes and finds a lasting solution.
The two traditional leaders became highly charged in the Meeting as they came face to face with each other for the first time in a long while.
President Lungu vowed that he would not allow tribal conflicts under his reign because Zambia was founded on the One Zambia One Nation motto of embracing love peace and unity.
Mr. Lungu said he did not understand why there was conflict in the Zambezi district when all other parts of the country were embracing other tribes.

Meanwhile, President Lungu has commissioned the commencement of the rehabilitation of Zambezi and Chavuma township roads.
He reiterated government’s commitment to open up the two districts to the rest of the province through a good road network.
While in the two areas, several opposition MMD members defected to the ruling PF.
President Lungu who welcomed the defectors, has since directed PF secretary General Davies Chama to mobilise party activities in North-Western province.
He expressed gratitude that the ruling party was growing on a daily basis not only in the North-Western province but the country as a whole.
And president Lungu has since returned to Lusaka after a three-day working visit to the North Western province.
The President was welcomed at the Zambia Air Force City airport by Service Chiefs, senior government and PF party officials.
This is the second visit that President has undertaken to the North Western province in two weeks.
President Lungu Greets former President Rupiah Banda at labour day In Lusaka
Former MMD Eastern Province Chairman Kennedy Zulu says there is nothing sinister about President Edgar Lungu consulting former Republican President Rupiah Banda.
Mr. Zulu, who is now a PF member, has told QFM News in an interview that those accusing the former Head of State of influencing President Lungu are not being fair to both of them.
Mr. Zulu says Mr. Banda has experience of governance and there is nothing wrong for him to share it with President Lungu.
He says even Mr. Banda when he was Republican President he used to consult the First Republican President Dr. Kenneth Kaunda saying it is normal to consult the past President.
He adds that Mr. Banda cannot allow Mr. Lungu to error whilst he is in office and that is why he is trying to offer his opinion on certain issues.
And in another development, pf Mandemvu Constituency Chairman Joseph Tamba says the party will not sit back and watch some people degrade President Edgar Lungu in the name of democracy.

Mr. Tamba says if they want to offer checks and balances on the PF government; they can do it without insulting the President.
He says there is need for people to respect the President saying he is there because of the will of the majority Zambians.
Mr. Tamba states that people ought to respect each other as a way of promoting peace and unity in the country.
Honour Janza heads into his 18th match in charge on Sunday when Zambia face Ethiopia in a friendly away in Addis Ababa.
Zambia and Ethiopia meet in a pre-2017 Africa Cup qualifier warm-up ahead of their opening group home games against Guinea Bissau and Lesotho respectively next Saturday.
The match will also be the first meeting between the two teams since the 2015 Africa Cup in South Africa that ended 1-1 at Mbombela.
“Our focus is the Africa Cup qualifier against Guinea Bissau,” Janza said.
“We will use the friendly against Ethiopia to prepare the team although preparations started a long time ago.”
Janza heads into the friendly with seven wins, five draws and as many defeats.
The match also comes a week after their poor showing at the 2015 Cosafa cup in South Africa where they failed to retain their crown.
Zambia went on to lose 1-0 Malawi in the consolation Plate finals after they were earlier beaten on post-match penalties at the quarterfinal stage to eventual winners Namibia at the quarterfinal stage.
The pressure has been growing on Janza since that poor Cosafa Cup outing with his future is hanging in a balance.
Meanwhile, Janza will have half of his team available for the match with the exception of goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene and captain Rainford Kalaba who have been excused for the match.
But the match will mark the return of striker Emmanuel Mayuka who will play in his first competitive game after a six-month layoff since sustaining a groin injury in a 2-1 loss to Tunisia on January 22 at the 2015 Africa Cup in Equatorial Guinea.
Defender Emmanuel Mbola, midfielders Kondwani Mtonga and Nathan Sinkala including striker Given Singuluma also have made the trip.

Lusaka, June 6, 2015, ZANIS—A social entrepreneur Frank Masanta has made a bold decision to supplement government efforts of providing quality education to vulnerable people.
Mr. Masanta runs a school called Sun-Spring Charity primary school which provides free education to children whose parents and guardians are unable to pay school fees.
He said over 400 children in Lusaka’s Ng’ombe Township have since benefited from his free education policy.
He said since the establishment of the school in 2011, the response from both learners and parents has been overwhelming.
Mr. Masanta, who is also the founder of Youth for Africa Renaissance and Faculty Organization, told ZANIS in an interview that he was running Sun-Spring Charity School with the aim of helping children who cannot afford to pay school fees.
He said the American International School Rotterdam adopted his school last year in order to support it financially and to develop its infrastructure.
Mr. Masanta also said his school was currently collaborating with the International School of Lusaka under Action for Children Together programme (ACT) in order to provide quality knowledge to learners.
And Mr. Masanta has toured Shimunguwo village in Rufunsa district where he plans to open another charity school that will benefit children who cover long distances to schools.
Meanwhile, Mr. Masanta has urged the general public to help government in educating children through building community schools in areas where there are no such institutions.

Power Dynamos have criticised opponents Zesco United decision to have Saturday’s big Copperbelt away derby cancelled at the 11th hour.
The defending champions lodged a successful application to have the game rescheduled despite only have four instead of the stipulated five players away on international duty.
Power club secretary Ricky Mamfunda has described the cancellation as unfair.
The game scheduled for Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe was due to be Power first game since May 16 and Zesco’s second after returning to action on June 3 who had also suffered a three-week layoff like their hosts this weekend.
“We wish to express our profound displeasure at your 11th hour postponement of our game without giving reasons for the late postponement of this match,” Mamfunda said in his correspondence with FAZ.
“You may wish to note that as hosting team we have already printed match tickets , paid radio adverts and the team is already in camp.
“We strongly feel your instructions to postpone this match are very unfair to us and will give undue advantage to the other clubs in the league that are not being disturbed by these postponements.”
Zesco and Power are currently 2nd and 6th on 20 and 16 points respectively heading into this weekends Week 12 fixtures.

The Vice President said the PF is aware that people have been wondering why the PF settled for Ms Siliya further stating that the choice was arrived at because Dora performed exceptionally last time she was in parliament.

PresidenPresident Edgar Lungu during the launch
t Edgar Lungu has called on traditional leaders to partner with government in protecting the girl child from negative vices that hinder their success in life.
ZANIS in Solwezi reports that President Lungu said today that traditional leaders should help fight early marriages and teenage pregnancies in their communities and encourage girl child education.
He said Zambia can only develop if the girl child is given the same opportunities as their male counterparts and that he was committed to bringing girls out of the oppression and suppression of society.
Mr Lungu who is on a working visit in the North Western province was speaking in Solwezi after touring the newly constructed Mushindamo Girls Technical Secondary School.
The President encouraged the girls and other women to get the inspiration from Vice President Inonge Wina and excel in whatever they are doing so that they can contribute to national development.
Mr Lungu said he will ensure that schools provide an enabling environment that encourages girls to be kept in learning institutions and get educated.
He pledged to alleviate the sufferings of the teachers and the pupils at Mushindamo Girls Secondary School by addressing some of the challenges the institution was facing such as lack of electricity and water.
Speaking earlier, Acting North Western Province Education Standards Officer Benson Kamangala pledged to work with the community in safeguarding the school for the benefit of the girl child.
Mushindamo Girls Technical Secondary School has been constructed at a cost of over K38.8 million and has a total enrolment of 195 pupils.
The completion of the school was scheduled for October 2010 but works are still on-going due to erratic funding.

PRESIDENT Lungu has assured that he will visit other parts of the country and spend as much time as possible like he has in North-Western Province.
And President Lungu says he plans to upgrade Solwezi town into a city.
President Lungu said he has received reports that residents of Northern and Copperbelt provinces are worried that people of North-Western Province have “stolen” him from them despite having immensely supported him in the January 20 presidential election.
“I want to assure them that I will visit every part of this country and spend as much time as possible in all the provinces,” President Lungu said.
The President was speaking here yesterday shortly after being conferred with the prestigious honour of the free man of the municipality of Solwezi.
President Lungu said his administration attaches great importance to the development of the entire country and that Zambia will remain a unitary state and North-Western Province is not an exception.
He said his administration remains a pro-poor Government that attaches great emphasis to poverty alleviation and development of the entire nation without segregation on the basis of race, creed, tribe or any other parameters of discrimination.
President Lungu said to achieve this, local authorities must play a pivotal role in contributing to the development of the country through effective and sustainable service delivery to the people.
The President said his Government attaches great importance to local governance and is determined to implement the decentralisation programme to meet the needs and aspirations of the people.
President Lungu also commended Solwezi Municipal Council for the efforts it is making to transform the town.
He cited the construction of a modern bus station, market, roads infrastructure and the new Solwezi Civic Centre as some of the projects the local authority is undertaking.
“Your worship the mayor of Solwezi, I must say that your efforts are particularly commendable, especially that Solwezi is one of the towns earmarked for upgrading to city status,” he said.
President Lungu directed the provincial administration to work closely with the municipality and all stakeholders to conclude the Solwezi integrated development plan and to take necessary measures to ensure that all benchmarks are met to upgrade the town.
President Lungu said he is humbled and will forever be grateful to Solwezi Municipal Council for conferring him with the status of free man of the town.
And Solwezi mayor Ezekiel Mulonga said the local authority decided to honour President Lungu because of his visionary leadership and commitment to developing Solwezi and the entire North-Western Province.
And President Lungu has assured the people in Mushindamo, which is located 120kms from Solwezi town and near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that Government will ensure the Solwezi-Kipushi road is rehabilitated.
President Lungu said he is committed to removing the girl-child from the hook of oppression and ensure that girls are recognised and supported.
He said this when he visited Mushindamo Girls Technical Secondary School, which has no electricity and water supply.
The President said his appointment of Vice-President Inonge Wina is not by chance but to promote women’s affairs.
“I hope that this appointment will inspire a lot of women in Zambia and in our region to work even hard,” he said.
The President appealed to traditional leaders to ensure girl children are protected from early marriage and other abuses.
“So, we will support the school so that the environment suits the girl-child. I will secure computers and a truck to be used at school so as to reduce challenges faced by girls,” the President said.
Julienne Mulenga, a grade 12 pupil, commended President Lungu for promising to connect Mushindamo Girls Technical Secondary School to the national electricity grid.
She said learning has been a challenge without power.
PRESIDENT Lungu has described as misguided assertions by some critics that he has unilaterally removed Article 296 of the final draft constitution.
Article 296 of the draft constitution relates to vesting land in the President.
President Lungu said he will respect the views and wishes of the Zambian people in the constitution-making process.
Special assistant to the President for press and public relations Amos Chanda told journalists here on Thursday that President Lungu has not removed clause 296 of the final draft constitution.
“It’s extremely sad and a misguided notion that President Lungu has unilaterally removed clause 296 from the draft constitution. If the people of Zambia decide to oppose certain articles of the final draft constitution, he will follow. Let them disagree with the chiefs themselves and not cowardly hide in President Lungu,” Mr Chanda said.
He said allegations by veteran politician Vernon Mwaanga that President Lungu has unilaterally removed article 296 of the final draft constitution are misguided because the document is intact.
Mr Chanda said it is in fact the chiefs that do not want clause 296 of the draft constitution.
He explained that chiefs from across the country have openly made it clear that they are against clause 296.
“Traditional leaders in Eastern, Central, Muchinga, Southern and now North-Western provinces are against clause 296 of the draft constitution but President Lungu will agree with the views of the people even if he does not agree with certain provisions, he will follow their views,” Mr Chanda said.
He urged Dr Mwaanga and opposition Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) spokesperson Antonio Mwanza to come out in the open and challenge the chiefs on the issue of clause 296 instead of dragging the name of the President into the matter.
Mr Chanda also said President Lungu has not taken any position on the draft constitution and urged Dr Mwaanga and others to directly disagree with their Royal Highnesses and not the head of State.
Meanwhile, seven chiefs in North-Western Province have commended President Lungu for honouring the promises he made two weeks ago to people in the region.
The chiefs are happy with development projects that Mr Lungu’s administration is implementing in the region.
