The Breath of God

Share

Today’s Scripture

“[It is] the Spirit of God that made me [which has stirred me up], and the breath of the Almighty that gives me life [which inspires me]”
(Job 33:4, AMP)

Today’s WORD from Joel and Victoria

In Genesis, the Bible tells us that God breathed life into Adam. Not only does God breathe life into our physical bodies, He breathes life into our dreams and desires. He breathes new life and inspiration into your heart. I believe, even right now, He’s breathing a bigger vision into your spirit. One scripture says, “It’s not by our might. It’s not by our power. But it’s by the breath of Almighty God.” As God breathes on your life, things are going to get easier. Negative situations are going to turn around. You’re going to have wisdom beyond your years. You’re going to have a resolve that will not give up, an attitude that refuses to quit.

Everywhere you go, you need to imagine the most powerful force in the universe is blowing in your direction. Believe that His favor and inspiration are on your life. Look for those opportunities that God will use to take you further than you dreamed. As you trust that God is breathing in your direction, you’ll see His hand of grace and favor moving you forward in victory in every area of your life!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for breathing in my direction. Thank You for giving life to my dreams, hopes, and desires. I trust that Your favor is working on my behalf. I give You glory for every good thing in my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

  1. I think we need to know that God does not always change our situations but He will surely give us the strength to endure the crisis and He will always lifts us up when we fall.

  2. dont add or subtract from wat is inscribed in the holy scriptures,ba LT we need more of this, please bring more messages on repentance cause thats the only route to heaven

  3. Well, it sounds good to the ear, but is it really so that those who believe in and worship the true God will have a problem free life? What do the scriptures show? Consider the eaxmple of Paul who had to contend with a thorn in the flesh. Did Paul ask God for relief? Yes he did, he writes three times I entreated the Lord that this should depart? Did it? Well, he informs that it did not. Rather God gave him the strength to endure.(1 Cor 12:7-10). Another example, Timothy, The bible informs us that He suffered frequent cases of sickness. Did God perform a cure for him? The bible does not say, it does say however that Paul encouraged him to take a little bit of wine. Clearly then, there’s no basis basis to say christians would never bad situations in life or that God will rescue them. Today

  4. However, the clergy would want to make people believe that things will be well for God’s worshippers. This however is all together not true. Notice the warning that Paul gives when discussing the last days, such as the ones we live in.

Let me digress a bit, Jacob was a man who feared God. And he was favored to be a direct ancestor of the nation of Israel. What an honor!! Notice though what he said in his old age. The account in Genesis 47:8, 9 says Phar´aoh now said to Jacob: “How many are the days of the years of your life?” So Jacob said to Phar´aoh: “The days of the years of my alien residences are a hundred and thirty years. Few and distressing the days of the years of my life have proved…

Did you notice? He was distressed.

  5. Was it only him who faced this situation? Notice what Moses, Job and Paul said.

Psalm 90:10 In themselves the days of our years are seventy years; And if because of special mightiness they are eighty years, Yet their insistence is on trouble and hurtful things; (Moses)
Job 14:1 “Man, born of woman, Is short-lived and glutted with agitation. (Job)

Roman 8:22 For we know that all creation keeps on groaning together and being in pain together until now. (Paul)

Yes, God will allow even those who have faith to face problems that everyone faces, but he will give them the strength to endure.

How true then the words of Paul “For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate…

  6. teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories.” (2 Tim 4:3, 4)

  7. There are many God’s but the prayer does not sayt which god the prayer is addressed. He surely must have a name? What is his name? Reminds me of Moses, after receiving his assignment he asked a thought provoking question. Suppose I come to the people then they ask me, Who is the god that sent you, what is his name? About 3500 years latter, I ask the same question here again. Which god is the prayer by Joel and Victoria directed?
