Construction of Shangombo district
hospital in Western Province at the cost of about K11 billion, has reached an advanced stage.
Western Province Permanent Secretary Seth Muleya confirmed the
development to ZANIS in an interview in Mongu saying works are expected to be completed in August this year.
Mr. Muleya said Government decided to re-engage Tomorrow Investment to
complete the project after a four-year stoppage.
He said the contractor is on track and doing a better job than before.
Mr. Muleya said it was Government’s desire to ensure that health services are provided within the vicinity of local communities.
The Permanent Secretary said about K11 billion was allocated for the construction of the Shangombo district hospital.

u are right Mr Muleya its Government responsibilities to provide health services to the public and thats what this government is doing. The society should have health individuals so they can participate in productive activities with drugs n other health facilities being in abundance so as to progress in sustainable development. Providing health facilities reduces poverty levels too for there is a strong link between poverty n Health i.e people who r sick can not manage a simple work to sustain their lives,,so what actually this government is doing is to break that link.Actally for a country like zambia,the main focal areas r in health n education sectors..having health people n very educated,,wht do u expect? no poverty as they r wise to thrive in life. Lets vote wisely,Shangombo again!

If my memory serves me right, this construction company was blacklisted as having had done shoddy work. When did they lift the ban? After 4 years work stoppage and you shamelessly call it development yet in the land of the east, such projects take utmost 1 year not this marabishi we are hearing. Should Zambia be developed only during election years? yeah, its only twits who will be wooed by such cheap deeds. all in all the people of shangombo deserved these facilities way back in 1992 when such far flung places in Zambia came to light.

What is the roll of PSs in Zambia kanshi? Are they not supposed to be civil servant and non-partisan? I ask these questions because;PSs have become chief cadres in today’s Zambia everywhere they go,their speeches a campaign speeches.In some cases,they even apply to stand for MP.Anyways if you think you will sway my mbuyas in Shangombo,mwailasha they are no longer the famous ignorant Shangombo that you knew years back naficha nafyena ka ni donchi kubeba.
RB/MMD administration at work. PF always uses Shangombo as an example when stating there is no development in Zambia. Now Shangombo is receiving development and this hospital is just an example.
The RB/MMD administration has delivered unprecedented levels of development in Zambia like never seen before. The RB administration has out-performed any other administration in the history of Zambia. There is now development all over and you must be blind not to see it. Good job Govt.

There is nothing wrong PS Muleya has said about the development he witnessed in Shangombo, witnessed with his own naked eyes. The Contractor, Tomorrow Investments, has shamed many of them with its timely and good performance. Unfairly blacklisted, nevertherless, has bounced back in the construction industry and has produced an excellent hospital building seen by all on TV. Lets give credit where its due. Well done MMD Government on Shangombo Hospital and all the best to Tomorrow Investments.
