Patriotic Front leader Micheal Sata has revealed that the ruling MMD will tomorrow Saturday,17th September begin allegedly giving unsuspecting Zambians pre-marked ballot papers to use on voting day after bribing them with K600,000.

Mr. Sata says the giving of pre-marked ballot papers to unsuspecting Zambians is one of the rigging tactics of the MMD.

He has since encouraged Zambians to get the pre-marked ballot papers and the money but put their vote on the Patriotic Front.

He says the MMD is desperate to return power as can be seen from the propaganda campaign aimed at discrediting the PF.

Addressing a rally in Serenje district this afternoon, Mr. Sata called on Zambians to unite and remove the corrupt MMD government.

Mr. Sata has further advised the intelligence officers to think about the million Zambians who are suffering at the expense of the corrupt government.

He says the MMD should accept that they are losing this year’s elections other than resorting to desperate maneuvers.

Meanwhile, President Rupiah Banda says the PF’s don’t Kubeba slogan is insulting to the people of Zambia especially that Zambia is a democracy.

Speaking when he addressed a rally at Chifubu grounds in Ndola this afternoon Mr Banda says the PF uses the don’t Kubeba slogan because they lack direction and ideas.

President Banda says the PF lacks good leadership hence they cannot tell the Zambian people anything.

Mr. Banda who spent most of his time attacking the PF leader added that the MMD deserves to be reelected because it has worked so hard in its campaigns.

He says the PF cannot run government because they have failed to run the councils which they controlled.

President Banda said on the other hand the MMD’s good direction can be seen from the many development initiatives that the party has embarked on.

He has further expressed confidence that the MMD will emerge victorious in next week’s election and that PF leader Michael Sata will kiss dust again.

  7. It is either PF is full of children under 3 or their leader has just gone mad and lost his brain. In this age and time people believe that you MMD can dish out millions of pre-marked ballots – ( Because you need millions to rig an election where 55% will vote PF)- on saturday to a lot of people and these people will keep these pre-market ballots in their homes until Tuesday, then walk to the polling station with this long pre-marked with 10 candidates on it and then walk past all elections agents and drop it in the Box?

    Come people , I just don’t understand the people who believe this old man. I understand why he is hallucinating because it is old age, but for those believing him, KAYA.

    • This demonstrates a lacky of understanding of the voting procedure to assume a registered voter or indeed any person can walk into a polling station with a pre-marked ballot paper.For those who do not know the only document a voter brings into a polling station is NRC and Voter`s card.Ballot papers are issued in the full view of all representatives of aspiring candidates.Those ballot papers have serial numbers as such they are checked against counter foils at the time of counting.Again the counting is done in full view of representatives of aspiring candidates.The process has very strong controls and must be relied on foreing papers have no chance of being droped in ballot boxes.WHY CRY BEFORE ENTERING THE BOX RING? I RESPECT THE CONTROLS PUT IN PLACE BY ELECTRAL COMMISION,ECZ, WELL DONE.

  8. If he believes that the elections will be fraudulent, why does he participate? He was in MMD for 10 years, is this what they were doing to win elections? He is calling on people in Intelligence to support him, does he believe that it is the Intelligence wing which rigs elections?   55. I thot there was a slogan of get the money but once in the booth cross for PF. My assumption is that even if you have a premarked pallot you will still pass through the elecction agents, your particulars vrified and given a ballot. once in the booth you still have the choice to use the ballot you have been given and for the candidate of your choice and swallow the one you came with unless the premarked cross on it is still on the candidate of your choice. the point is if you use this method to rig, you are still giving the people the choice to rig for their prefeered candidate. only dull serpents would use such a method.

  73. Surely, if you are going to rig, it would be a highly risky strategy to distribute the incriminating pre-marked ballot papers to thousands of potential voters? I mean anything could happen to them, they may get lost, or somebody might accidentally pour saladi on them or they may even be used as shinda paper in the same manner as the pfost. As well as concerns that Chinese companies have been favoured to the point of undermining Zambian tax revenue, there are also numerous complaints about labour conditions in Chinese-operated mines and factories. It is our prayer that God will help Zambia come next week Tuesday and hear our cry. I like the Chinese if only they can bring industries in Zambia and not bringing already made goods from China.

  100. Can someone please explain why every statement from the PF has been alarmist to the nation. What if they win will they then say they won because they rigged? Are they also preparing the MMD not to accept the results in the event that PF wins? With a few days to go shouldnt they be concentrating on persuading people to vote for them and why. Isnt Mr Sata who alarmed the nation the KK had hidden weapons in Sandamisale and the claim was later found to be false?
