Vice president Guy Scott says the Patriotic Front has delivered on many of the promises it made to the Zambian people.

During the vice president’s question time in Parliament this morning,Dr Scott says the PF is continuing to deliver on the promises made to the people of Zambia.

Dr Scott cites some of the delivered promises as low taxes for the workers, increased the minimum wage and awarded workers more money.

He says the numbers are there to speak for themselves of the achievements of the PF government so far.

Dr Scott was responding to a question by Bwacha Member of Parliament Sydney Mushanga who wanted to know how he rates the performance of the PF government in 2013.

Meanwhile, Dr Scott says the draft Foreign Policy is ready.

He says the draft document will be table before Cabinet next month to be deliberated upon.

    • @Nostradamus
      Who can remember all the promises made to reach this point?
      As you are ardent hunch-back supporter, please enlighten us on the achievements.

    • Guy Scott can not live in ancestral country Scotland because of his st.u.p.idity. The British wouldn’t manage extract any single grain of sense from his mumbles.

      I was watching question time South Africa on BBC, when a thought struck me that Zambia needs such a program at one time. I will write to Mr Dimbleby ,qusetion time presenter to consider bringing one to Zambia so that Sata the VSTC(Victoria Station toilet cleaner )and his cohort can explain where they are taking our country.

  1. After almost 27 months of directionless stumbling, VP has a courage to say that the foreign policy will be ready for discussion by the cabinet in January!!!
    Well done!!!
    It is a REAL achievement after considering official visits to North Korea, Sudan, Cuba….

  2. A combination of Scott and Sata is like a mixture of rotten chibuku and fish. This man vomits whatever he takes. I have a question mark with responses they give. Its like they are always drunk

  3. hahahahahahahba………………………. ati muzungu opusa! some mps a cantankerous, how does he ask a question fit to be asked by a kindergarten? you wonder if he has any semblance of education’

  4. …..its time our leaders got into a serious mode…stop trivialising national issues…have respect for the electorate….stop taking mature Zambians for granted…..
    …its time they stopped whatever they are doing, where ever they are going just for a minute….let them look back and see how far the ordinary people are…..if they are seeing a few people within their sight, probably they are their close relatives and friends…
    ..its time our leaders regained that sense of guilt and remorse…..its time to admit that act of deceit and try to atleast cool down the electorate by explain why certain pronouncements made prior 2011 elections can not be fulfilled. Apparently, there seem to be no law for which poor Zambians can use to recall their votes now until 2016…

  5. What is the cost of a day’s life ( Food,a bath,communication,clothing,shelter,health etc) as compared to a year ago?How easy is it, to get into college,university or job today?What is the ratio of a doctor or nurse to petients, teacher to pupils etc.How did we end up with PF? Could it be a problem of lit levels?

  6. I hope the almighty will keep these two going until such a time they are removed from office and answer for their lies. Sata will be nearly 80 years old in 2016. Realistically, do we honestly believe that he will have the physical capacity to lead this nation beyond 2016 or are his supporters just buying time to loot and hide as much as they can before someone else takes over? You see our last presidents have wasted so much time persecuting each other to the point where they have forgotten why they are elected in office in the first place. Zambia’s development is grinding to a halt and that’s why the top leadership turn to deceit and decadence as a way of masking their incompetence. Zambia has been blessed with peace loving people who should never be taken for granted.

  7. This is why PF loves having a largely illiterate and poor citizenry bcoz they could be easilly used and duped.Dr Scotty go tell that to the birds.

  8. You see, you can only bend a man so far before you break him. For us, we are so disappointed that we cannot even remember the promises.

    17. NEW JOBS, HOUSING UNITS & OFFICES WHICH R ABOUT TO FOLLOW THERE.

    ETC

    ALL IN 2 YEARS!!

    • And who is going to pay for it?
      Not you definitely. Because as you say, you do not pay tax.
      People cannot eat stadiums. That is what Roman Empire practiced 2000 years ago. Actually, your favorite party is 2000 years behind of the rest of civilized world. The new slogan of your party should be: “give them games like that they will forget hunger” or “give them districts and they will forget human rights” or “give them weight of the valueless coins in the pockets and they will dream that Kwacha is heavy”.
      REAL “”achievements””:
      1. Absolute disregard of the Constitution;
      2. Introduction of “terror”;
      3. Absurdity and incompetence in every one ministry;
      4. Constant beach of fundamental rights;
      5. Reckless borrowing;
      6. Corruption;
      7. Nepotism;
      8. Tribalism…

  14. @ Rotten Teeth

    1. Political Appointments such as those in the foreign service world over go to party cadres who support a party in power. Just to remind you – the most recent notable political appointment was JFK daughter, newly appointed US ambassador to Japan. She endorsed Obama rather than Clinton’s wife.
    2. Promises? If all promises were to be kept then Guantanamo bay would be have closed and USA troops would have left Afghanistan during Obama’s first term.

    Luapula will always go for any teeth, whether rotten or white.

  15. @Luapula Premier. Desist from comparing apples and oranges. Obama has not appointed a single relative of his or Michelle’s to any govt position. Guantanamo has not been closed but it’s operation is almost insignificant for the first time since the war on terror begun. Demarcating districts for political mileage is not an achievement. Obama can’t do that in the US. It’s called Gerrymandering. Named after a governor who was doing exactly what you call an achievement.

  16. Developments in one Region and you call that Development? Remember that we are all observant and seeing what PF is doing by bringing in division.
    There is too much tribalism in PF and when we tell you, you point at the Tongaz. UPND has no single ward counselor in Luapula, Northern and Muchinga. What does this mean?
    PF has never taken one from NW province as a Full Cabinet minister and then they say we are a fair play government.
    The worst is not Bemba but PF. We had KK, did equal selesction, Chiluba equal appointments and Mwanawasa got the very best from where he was not voted in, Banda smiled and Sata today has the hate of NW province where the resources are being taken out to build his castle in his home area.

    Tuletamba, we are seeing bola yenu?

  17. @ kungade

    Nepotism;
    Tribalism…

    If all positions in my winning party were fairly vied for and won by my relatives democratically, why should I leave them out?

    A party like the Democratic Party in the USA, PF, UPND etc is like a club with members who share in a common vision. Members are admitted on payment of a fee or on contribution of their life savings.

    Please do not be too myopically petty. This government is working and busy scoring points for 2016!

    Do you want us to continue walking in the streets of Lusaka with shoe brushes in our pockets?

  18. For MORE THAN TWENTY YEARS we have been walking in the streets of Lusaka with shoe brushes in our pockets?

    Why should Luapula waste votes for any other party, particularly MMD?

    Chiluba’S HOMESTEAD was Musangu, Luapula. I.d.i.o.t.s have you been to Musangu?

    PF IS AT WORK….SERIOUS.

    MMD, UPND do not waste your campaign funds in LUAPULA.

  19. @Luapula premier,u are right.Unfortunately u are talking to demon who don’t appreciate human beings including their argents.Demons turn what is true for a lie.Go,go ,go pf.Lies will never win them 2016 elections. More beaterness!

  20. @ IDAH

    Don’t be so foolishly myopic.

    Please be informed that at one point, nearly all government ministries including the presidency were from Luapula!

    Did Luapula benefit from that skewed arrangement? Have you ever been to Musangu, the birth place of Chiluba? So what does tribal representation in government got to do with national development?

    To us, as long as our kids will enter Mongu or Lewanika University & drive on paved roads or dust free roads in Lusaka, we r not bothered by whoever is in government? Whether a London toilet cleaner or a policeman.

    Grow up…

    Luapula gave PF almost 100% of the vote. How many ministers do we have in cabinet? One. So who cares?
    Luapula cares more about effective representation in parliament. Chapwa.
