He is reported to have spoken agaisnt FAZ during a Radio Phoenix Programme on 20th December, 2013.

“Mr. Simataa has been banned for life from all football activities. This ban comes in the wake of breach of football rules by the said Mr Simaata,” FAZ spokesperson Nkweto Tembwe said on Wednesday.

The decision was arrived by the Disciplinary Committee that sat on 1st February 2014.
However Simataa seems not to be moved by the vedict.

Simataa said
“I will make a decision whether or not to appeal, I have 30 days. I have not been convicted,” he said.

    • Iwe Chilala spare us with your worship of Kalusha. You do not ban someone for criticising people who run what is essentially a public organisation. So what if Simataa et al took the case to FIFA and lost? Where in that FIFA ruling says Simataa cannot criticize FAZ. Your Kalusha is a semi literate tinpot dictator. Banning someone for life for criticizing you! BS!

    • We do not condone indispline.Samataa Simataa thinks he is an indispensable. Why failing to attend the disciplinary hearing. To me shows allogance, indispline and such chats cant be given powers to govern FAZ.

    • … and i quote “the decision was arrived at by the disciplinary committee”

Your singling out of Kalu in this matter is not water tight. That was a collective decision and not Kalu’s alone.

I guess you have issues with the most celebrated soccer icon…. in as far as african soccer is concerned.

    • Ah @Diaspora… due respect to your obvious hero worship of Kalusha, I will have to point out that the most celebrated African footballer is Pele. Sorry!

    • Bembas vs The Rest

      Sata vs HH ( PF/UPND merger)…Winner …Sata
Saboi Vs Kapwepwe ( Arts council saga)… Winner…Kapwepwe
      Kalu vs Simata (FAZ saga)….Winner…Kalu
      Pending
      Mumba Vs MMD non Bemba….Winner…?????

    • Disappointed in y’all, the most celebrated African footballer is George wear(1995 world footballer of the year). Pele is not even better than Eto. Nevertheless Kalusha Bwalya is our hero and nothing will change that. On Simata Simata, He has always been a critic of Kalusha, FAZ should just have ignored him.

    • Banned for life, for what offence? speaking ones’ mind is health to keep office holders in check. We have a tendency to worship ‘small heroes’ in this country, that’s how dictators are created and barrier raised between top officials and the rest.Kalusha is just another form of Sata, a corrupt thug who would stop at nothing but choke the living oxygen out of anyone questioning his selfish ways of running our national institution. If anything Samaata Simaata is the most qualified person to speak on behalf of the silent majority. He knows FAZ inside-out and how football should be run. Its also his right to express himself as concerned citizen and lover of our game of football. My advise to simaata, assemble your best legal team and appeal, don’t give them a free ride, FAZ belongs to all…

    • Disappointing, but its been long time coming. This guy runs FAZ by remote control against everyone else’s wish, as CEO he’s literally suppose to ‘micro-manage’ football by attending most local games as is the norm in all countries in Europe and elsewhere. In Zambia no one would dare tell it to his face, even if they did he won’t do it the right way as the’re are no consequences for him. At least he met his match on his Woodlands House- the loan sharks, Haruperi brothers and Frank Buyenga boys. What a lesson! if you don’t know the story google them, the’re as cunning and ruthless as

    • @Bauze you’re so right! Footballers (including former footballer) must understand that FAZ is a corporate organisation that requires good academic qualifications and experience in the practice and principles of corporate governance. Please footballers, stick to what you can do best – playing soccer or coach it! Alternatively, go to school and acquire the necessary prerequisites

    • Twendeko you are a bone-head, you seem to be spoiling for a fight & incite tribal warfare – you are of the view that all the people you mention have only obtained their status because of their tribe, & translated that to bembas’ propping them up, yet you IGNORE the fact that these individuals have a competitive strak which has gotten them to where they are – Look at HH, the longer he keeps at it, & the quicker he realises that corrects the perception about UPND not being regional, the quicker he will get to Plot 1 – even the tribalists you accuse will have no qualms voting for him!

  1. Kalusha does not want to be challenged even when he is wrong. Remember the Andrew Kamanga saga, Emmanuel Munaile Saga and the many sagas that has made the country lose millions of Dollars.

    • What more do you want? You don’t ban people for life for criticising you on how you run a public organization, you fool!

    • Imwe Ba Kalusha, you don’t burn someone for life for criticizing you! For Life away from football matters is impossible!!!!!. Simataa can come back when Kalusha is dead….. wakufa sazibika…..you might go first and the person you were trying to block takes over…..Then you will be rolling in the grave.

  2. Kalusha’s FAZ Team is very vindictive. Any one that opposes him is banned for life. In 2011 an official from Barotse Land was slapped with a life ban for speaking against FAZ. Should pipo really not oppose what ever moves these good for nothing officials do? Good administrators are supposed to accept criticism and that should be used as a yardstick for their development and change.

  3. Where on earth can you apply for such rules. Everyone has got the right of belonging and expressing their views. FAZ is a national institution and anyone is free to contribute ti its well being. Burning someone for life for speaking his mind is not a solution. Every Zambian is a shareholder in FAZ.

  4. This is really laughable how on earth can you hand out a lifetime ban not even FIFA hands out such bans for positive drug tests. These are the empty suits YOU gullible zombies are FOREVER worshipping. …another reason why I will never support these corrupt individuals.
When I criticise these empty suits I’m insulted and even my patriotism is questioned, now I wonder what the Kalu worshippers make of this. ..do you honestly think a progressive honest individual can work with such crooks for the betterment of grassroots and national football?
    WAKE UP! !

    • Jay Jay
U munna, meaning you’re a man. FAZ is full of tinpot dictators. Where on earth have you ever heard an individual being banned for life and individuals supporting that?

  5. Simata can never be compared to Kalu in almost everything. Not only was he successful as a footballer but is also the only FAZ president who won us AFCON. He may not be perfect, but on average,he is far better than those who speak loudest for nothing. Simata has every right to criticise FAZ but he is too vindictive.Remember how they were supported by RB but still lost it. For me,good move. Also, looking at his reactions,it appears he has no money to run his club and so,he knew that the only way to escape these financial burdens is to lobby for expulsion from football, hence his behaviour. Wish you good rest though I will be happy if you can appeal and bring you back because we need critics still.

    • Which FAZ administration has ever received the selfsame support from government before your God Kalu? Don’t just post silly senseless comparisons.

  6. As usual we are attempting to be parochial about this decision. I have not read the FAZ rules, but I trust there is a clause that gives the provision to enforce a life ban. Such decisions are taken on accumulation and balance of probability looking at a trend or track record. Nobody here can dispute the fact that Simataa has been in and out of sorts with regards to his challenge to FAZ – some reasonable, and some simply outrageous. If you had a truant employee, or pupil, you either fire them or expel them respectively, after they have exhausted their lifeline. My two cents…

  7. Pa Zed ubupuba no bu fontini…I beg to dis-agree with the level of incompetence in FAZ.Not sure how it works but Simataa must take them to the arbitration court for sport..life ban over criticism ? iyo yachita over and out of sylabus…Not even for breaking the highest conduct on FIFA level will you get that…..

  8. we ar in ademoratic nation and pipo shd be allowed to critises the runing of public institutions. it wrong to giv ss a life ban, those who made the decision ddnt do it for the betterent of football bt to satsfy their egos. ss , u hv a chance to finish faz, criticise them heavly.
