Kitwe United central defender Shebban Kaunda has been invited to attend trials at Croatian top side HNK Hajduk Split.
Kaunda said he is expecting to leave for Croatia before the end of June.
According to the invitation, the 20-year old defender was supposed to be at Split from June 7 to August but visa hitches have delayed his departure.
“On Tuesday, I am leaving for South Africa to go and get a Dutch visa and once I am in Holland I will now be able to get another visa to enable me enter Croatia,” Kaunda said.
The promising youngster is excited at the prospect of attending trials in Europe.
Meanwhile, Split is one of the leading clubs in the Croatian top flight league.
The club is next season expected to play in the UEFA Europa League after finishing third in the local leagu

Anyway, its time Zambia found better defenders, that Nsunzu I don’t like him, I just hope he get injured so we can have Dereck Mwansa & Shebban Kaunda in central defense.
Iwe lies am currently in Croatia meeting my family and i have seen several people of both African decent and mixed race and believe me they know about Zambia and its economy . I was expecting the same but was surprised yes some may look at you with surprise due to lack of exposure. But I found most of them friendly and very hospitable.

iwe pf cadre,,,, get your head screwed up properly,,,, am not saying its a bad move,,,, am saying he should be mindful,,,, in croatia just like in russia its difficult for a black player to progress mainly because of racism,,,,, but obviously he can make much more money in croatia than in kitwe
