PF refutes claims that it wanted to adopt Elias Chipimo for Mporokoso seat

NAREP’s Elias Chipimo makes a presentation during the presidential debate

The Patriotic Front Leadership in Eastern Province has described recent claims by NAREP Leader Elias Chipimo that the PF wanted to adopt him for the Mporokoso Parlaimentary seat in the August 11 general elections as petty.

Eastern Province PF Youth Chairman William Phiri said that PF has enough people who it can easily field anywhere other than Mr. Chipimo.

Mr. PHIRI said that the opposition leader was trying to get public attention by making claiming that the PF wanted to adopt him for the Mporokoso Parlaimentary seat in the August 11 general on a private radio station.

“ITS WISHFUL THINKING, ELIAS CHIPIMO MUST BE CANDID ENOUGH”, ADVISES PF EASTER PROVINCE YOUTH CHAIRPERSON

Chipata, Zambia – The Patriotic Front youth in Eastern Province was in the last 48hrs greeted with amusing hallucinations coming from upcoming Politician Elias Chipimo who claimed that the Patriotic Front (PF) offered to adopt him for the Mporokoso Parliamentary seat in the just ended 11th August 2016 elections. What a spectacular piece of fiction! We suggest that Elias begins to compile his several theoretical concepts and package them in a feature film or a political fictional novel! Everyone knows that adoptions in PF are highly contested that we would have no luxury to start looking outside especially for our strongholds like Northern Province.

As youths in the Party, we would like to dismiss Elias Chipimo’s eulogies as mere wishful thinking. The PF has never been short of leadership at all levels and the party is certainly not looking to a person whose only tangible contribution to the political dispensation was to suggest that Zambia starts composing human waste for sell. How he wishes youthful stage was static so he could hang in there forever!

It is understandable for him to try and get public attention by making outrageous claims considering his dwindling political fortunes and his evident failure to make an impact. We would like to provide free advice to Elias Chipimo who is a known admirer of the PF, that instead of wallowing in his unsuccessful bid to be given attention by the PF, he should start from Ward Chairman so that he can be schooled.

As youths, we are grateful that Mporokoso Constituency is well represented by Northern Province Minister Hon. Brian Mundubile who is not just speaking good English as others do but offering great service to the party, his constituency and the Province. Considering his political experience and proven track record of delivery, it is laughable that Elias Chipimo would even dream of comparing himself to Hon. Brian Mundubile. It is not necessary!

We also urge Elias Chipimo to stop masquerading as initiator of what he is calling “Twenty Percent Generation Platform (TPG)” were he says under his far-fetched administration, all public procurement contracts will set aside 20 percent for youth, women and vulnerable. Elias Chipimo knows that under the PF Government, under the road sector, all foreign contractors are required to subcontract 20% of the work to local contractors for all those registered under roads. Government under the 2017 Budget made strong emphasis on what is being packaged for youth. It is therefore laughable that someone goes ahead with copy and paste and calls it by a different name. What Elias Chipimo is calling ”TGP” is a stolen idea from the PF manifesto, 2017 Budget and existing PF Policies. We expect him to be more innovative.

  1. And this rebuttal had to come all the way from chipata, i think mporokosa is from Northern province, has this guy ever heard of the word jurisdiction? Is the chipata the new pf capital?

    • How would this man know if Chipimo was offered a seat or not? Aren’t such decisions above his pay grade? I doubt PF leaders call him up to discuss such matters. I guess it was his time to get public attention and use Chipimo to be seen to be working.

    • It is sad reality currently in Zambia all one needs to look for is the surname and the comment will be predictable. A Phiri refuting what happened or presumably happened in Northen Province. Typical of self destruction politics. Politics of wako no wako.

  2. At first I thought Mporokoso was annexed to Eastern during that period where Districts were being re-aligned every minute. Why would it take someone from another province to talk about matters outside their mandate?

  3. PF is a ‘chipantepante’ party, any one kicks the ball, ward cadre too can tell off diplomats.

  4. @1.6 Maloza, that reference to Jacob Zuma sounds like the UPND sponsored social media claim that the Catholic Bishops had convened a prayer meetong to pray for the health and release of HH. Uuhmm, we must acknowledge that U.P.N. Donkeys have become sophisticated, issuing false statements. Fortunately we can easily spot the hand of a donkey in every false story.
