    • Very few african vampires survive Hardtalk. Am sure under 5 was sweating the whole time he was being interviewed by the imperialist. Jonathan Chakolwa run for his dear life when he was due for an interview.

    • Edgar shouldn’t even dare to go on Hard talk,
He is just fine with Congolese refugees. He is good at soft stuff, not hard core issues.

    • IT’S LAUGHABLE WHEN HH SAYS “…CLEAN UP OUR DEMOCRATIC CREDENTIALS”. IT’S A WONDER HOW PEOPLE WITH NO DEMOCRATIC SUBSTANCES IN THEIR BLOODWANT AND PREACH ABOUT DEMOCRACY. IN THE FIRST PLACE, HH, BECAME UPND PRESIDENT BY USING AND ACCEPTING UNDEMOCRATIC APPROACH TO BECOMING UPND PRESIDENT. HH BECAME UPND PRESIDENT ON A TRIBAL TICKET, ON QUOTA UPND PARTY CONSTITUTION (ONLY A TONGA TO LEAD UPND INTO STATE PRESIDENCY AND NO OTHER LANGUAGE SPEAKING GROUPINGS), KILLINGS OF NON-TONGAS WHO LIVE IN TONGALAND. THIS CHAP SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED NEAR STATE HOUSE BY ZAMBIANS. HH IS A SERIOUS KABILA IN-THE-MAKING.

    • VERY SICK INDEED. HE TALKS ABOUT DEMOCRACY WHICH HE DOES NOT IN THE FIRST PLACE PERMIT IN HIS OWN PARTY. THE MAN HAS BEEN REJECTED BY ZAMBIANS ON SERIOUS ISSUES SUCH AS ACCOUNTING FOR HIS WEALTH, NOT BEING ABLE TO APOLOGISE FOR USING TRIBALISM TO OCCUPY HIS PARTY PRESIDENCY, TO DENNOUNCE THE QUOTA CONSTITUTION ELEMENT IN UPND AND THE LIST IS ENDLESS. ZAMBIANS DO NOT WANT AND LIKE ANY DICTATORIAL TENDENCIES IN A POTENTIAL STATE PRESIDENT. HH, HAKALUSA HAGAIN.

  1. This guy (HH) should desist from telling the world that every Zambian is behind him and that only Lungu and Lungu alone is agaist him. This kind of childish thinking is not only embarrassing our great nation but also those of us who do not subscribe to his cheap politics of “cry baby”. His “coronation” as the head of UPND following the death of the incumbent Leader was a sham. People like Sikota, Sichinga and others who worked tiresly for the UPND where hounded out of the party on tribal basis and that was the begining of the fall of this inexperienced emperialist sponsored politician. He needs to change and show that he is a real leader and not a “cry baby”. HH needs to change his tactics and not parade all Zambians as being behind him. Truth is majority of Zambian are not. Numbers…

    • HH IS BEHIND HIMSELF AND NOT GENUINE ZAMBIANS. HH SEES HIS SHADOW AND THINKS MANY PEOPLE ARE BEHIND HIM. HE IS THE KIND OF GUY WHO WOULD STANDS NAKED IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR AND COUNTS HIS REFLECTION AND THINKS THERE ARE MANY NAKED PEOPLE IN THE ROOM.

  2. .. Numbers don’t lie. No one in Zambia is after Hichilemas blood for what? He should just campaign maturely and eat his wealth from the privatisation of mines and other national properties with his family. He should not drag every Zambian into his chronic loss of presidential elections.

    • Wealth not proven stolen.Hard working ;dynamic business man yes. He was not in power to sell the mines. If left to campaign without disturbance and frame ups he will make a very good leader.

  3. I wonder why HH thinks that I owe him a vote….my friend grow.. to force donkeys to drink dirty water.

  4. Good job HH keep up the good work…there is no way the golden brown teeth would come close to this….
Keep up the good work sir.

  5. No wonder Sata called him under 5 politician.
BBC’s Stephen was amazed to discover that things HH calls unjust are actually more than normal in a political field. Simply a cry baby!!

  6. Brilliant exposition by HH in this BBC HardTalk.
Actually, to be honest, the interviewer started off nice and hard, but it soon became very clear the interviewer was out of his depth w.r.t. the Rule of Law when he began recycling questions and asking ‘no brainer’ questions as HH put it.

    Well done, HH.

Now, its Lungu’s turn on Hard Talk. That way we can compare like-for-like.

  7. kkkkkk will u5 go to bbc again he thought it was PRIME TV

so bbc knows exactly what happens here. this u5 thought england was far and they wouldnt know what happenes in zambia

bbc is bbc. this chap is just a tribal moron.

ati bill of rights .bill of rights. he is one that instructed southern province from voting

bbc also knows that u5 burnt city market.

self interest .thats what i always say
    egoistic
    arrogant
    pompus
    obsseed with power this moron
    tribal
    racist

  8. which court. which judge is handling hh petition. why tell lies

tells the court of law in zambia handlin the matter

  9. HH is well advised to listen and watch this interview in the comfort of his home and do a self reflection. He did not perform well in this interview if he has to be critical of himself. The questions from the interview where good. Those are the kind of questions any sane person would want answers to and HH failed to answer most of them. He came out as someone who does not know what he wants for Zambia. He came out as just wanting the presidency of the country for itself and not to develop the country. Those poverty questions where good? HH go back to Zambia and recognize Lungu as president and start preparing for 2021, maybe then you may have my vote. Continuing this fight will not take you anywhere. Surely do you think the constitutional court could call for fresh elections now. SURE?

    • DO WE NEED HH TO RECOGNISE LUNGU AS PRESIDENT? ZAMBIANS AND THE WORLD OVER HAVE RECOGNISED ECL AS PRESIDENT AND THAT IS MORE THAN ENOUGH.

    • @Comedian,
LOL – Very funny. You are saying…”HH go back to Zambia and recognize Lungu as president…”

Below is the word-for-word extract from the interview.

“QUESTION. Sackur: – So you are telling me that for the foreseeable future, possibly for a four or five-year term you are simply going to refuse to accept that your country has a legitimate President?

ANSWER. HH:- No, that’s not what I am saying, I am saying that if our presidential petition which is before the courts of law, and you can verify that yourself and anyone who wishes to do so, is dealt with, THEREIN LIES THE ISSUE OF RECOGNITION. It is a no brainer at all.”

Please clarify, which part of the answer by HH don’t you understand?
Do you understand what the Rule of Law requires whilst a case is still in…

  10. HH had a solid performance. Stood his grounds on the importance of the Rule of Law. He was articulate and calm despite the forceful questioning.

Stephen was mostly leaning on unsubstantiated claims.

Lungu would not dare to show face on Hardtalk. He needs to work on the clarify if his speech first. Just saying.

  11. Listening to the interview and how Stephen described Zambian’s Economy as a broken Economy, Zambia is the third hunger country in the world. These are real issues that people should be talking about? How poor Zambia has become under PF government not foolish and childish comments I can see on this platform.

  12. Not every Zambian is behind HH. At least iam not and will never support this under 5. Well done BBC. The guy failed to answer why he has lost 5 times and he surely will lose and cry again.ATASE!!!!

  13. *****s leave HH alone. He did very well and the fact that he was given that rare platform means alot. Your hurt towards him will kill you. Do you think your menomeno wud even try it? He wud definately be in his pants. Welcome Mr. President.

  14. PIPO PLEASE MAKE ME UNDERSTAND,WHICH PRESIDENTIAL PETITION IS BEFORE WHICH COURT AND BEFORE WHICH JUDGE AND SEEKING WHAT REMEDY???

THE PRESIDENT WAS NOT SWORN IN UNTIL AFTER 14 DAYS AS THE CONSTITUTION REQUIRES AND THATS IT BWANA! THE PETITION WAS THROWN OUT AND SO WHICH OTHER PETITION IS BEFORE THE COURT AND WHICH PROVISION IN THE LAW IS HH CITING???

    TWANAKA NOBE!

WHY CONTINUE CONTESTING ELECTIONS WHICH YOU ALWAYS SAY ARE NOT FREE AND FAIR AFTER LOSING? WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU WON???

  15. It is my opinion that none of our current politicians has any interest in leading Zambia for any reason other than to bask in the power that comes with the position and enriching their pockets. With the exception of maybe Elias Chipimo. But until people in this country start make politics more about issues affecting them than what kind of political songs or political materials being given out, we will always end up with mediocre leaders incapable of running their homes let alone a country.

  16. Try to disturb a presidential motorcade in UK or America and see what will become of you! You are a loser Under Five! Nothing is broken in Zambia, you are broken! The videos show that you did not yield! This is a boy, indeed!

  17. HH sounds bitter and I can foresee his bitterness recognizing any piece of legislation promulgated by current government ..
