Vice President Mutale Nalumango, is tomorrow expected in Muchinga Province for a five-day working visit.
‎Provincial Permanent Secretary, Tuesday Bwalya, has confirmed the development to the media.
‎Dr Bwalya said the Vice President will visit seven districts in Muchinga.
‎”I wish to confirm that her honour, the vice president Mrs Nalumango, will, on Sunday, July 5, 2026, commence a five-day working visit to Muchinga Province, which will run until July 10, 2026. The Vice President will tour seven districts covering Chinsali, Mpika, Isoka, Mafinga, Nakonde, Shiwang’andu, and Kanchibiya,” he said.
‎Dr Bwalya said the Vice President will, during her visit to the province, address civil servants in Chinsali and hold meetings with traditional leaders and the clergy.
‎He added that Mrs Nalumango will also hold public rallies to drum up support for President Hakainde Hichilema and the United Party for National Development (UPND) ahead of the elections.
‎Dr Bwalya said the Vice President’s visit to the province is very important as it shows the UPND’s government commitment and care for the people in the region.
‎He has since appealed to residents to warmly welcome the Vice President and support her during her visit to the province.
‎”I therefore, appeal to residents in the province to give her honour and a thunderous welcome to Muchinga Province.” he said.
