Nkana steam ahead of the competition

Nkana steamed to another important win in the FAZ Super Division to stay top and unbeaten this season.

The 12-time champions downed old foes Kabwe Warriors 1-0 in Kitwe to stretch their lead at the top of the table from three to five points after four round of matches played.

New boy Jacob Ngulube scored the games lone goal in the 70th minute with one of his trademark volleys.

Nkana move to 12 points, five ahead of promoted Lusaka Tigers who drew 1-1 away to Green Buffaloes at Independence Stadium in Lusaka.

Brian Mwila put Buffaloes ahead in the 40th minute but Tigers stole a point with an 85th minute equaliser through Martin Bwalya.

Across town at Edwin Emboela Stadium, Nkwazi won their first game of the season after stunning promoted Lumwana Radiant 4-0.

Steward Chikandiwa scored a hat trick while Kalaba Chikwanda chipped in with one goal to hand Lumwana their first league defeat of the season.
