Moses Sichone appointed FAZ technical director

Ex-Zambia captain Moses Sichone has been appointed Football Association of Zambia technical director.

Sichone, 40 takes over the post previously held by Honour Janza.

The ex-midfielder also follows in the footsteps of his late mentor and Under-23 coach late Ben Bamfuchile.

“I have accepted this job because of the love I have for Zambia,” Sichone said at his unveiling at Football House in Lusaka.

“It is my objective to use this position to help improve the standards of the game. I thank FAZ for entrusting me with such a task.”

The ex-Nchanga Rangers and Chambishi midfielder spent most of his professional career in Germany where he played for FC Koln, Alemannia Aachen and Kickers Offenbach.

  1. Where are pictures, we forgot him.
We are looking for presidents not directors.
I would wish Wedson as FAZ president. Then Moses Sichone as national coach.

  2. Sichone you said you are taking the Job because of the love for the country. If that is the case I need to be getting your salary

  3. I support the appointment, he was a good hard working member of the chipopolo. It was the injury that slowed down his career.

    • Please find out why he was staying away. Was it his will or some people were just preventing him from coming to play for his team? Get down to the root causes.

  4. This guy was demanding K5,000 000 (old currency)? For every call up! Anyway, am sure is conscience is troubled if he is a normal guy. Give a chance.
